The Least Radiation Cell Phones You Almost Not Supposed To Know About

What? The least radiation cell phones? Okay, this article isn’t for you. It’s for the rest of us. The average person who works hard for a living, who wants to live longer and

better.  It’s for people who care about their health. And this article is about information that’s almost forbidden. Forbidden because it might cause a panic. But most people either know too little or don’t care. Only a relatively small growing number of concerned people are aware of the radiation from cell phone issues, much less the amount of information from reports like “Cell Phone Radiation Dangers” provides.

But not you. Why you?

When nearly everybody and an entire cell phone manufacturer industry are telling about getting a cool cell phone… you bet that gobs of money is made on cell phones. But the opposite is true. They’re not telling you much about the other costs: the dangers of cell phone radiation.

Recent US Government studies have provided believable information that cell phone radiation may indeed effect your health and well being,

But there’s more.

What should make anyone like you nervous is that not enough research is done to whether or not cell phone radiation causes cancers or any other harmful side effects. Still, it’s enough to cause concerns for a needed and expanded study and calls for more consumer education on the risks of cell phone radiation.

Here are the facts. All cell phone manufacturers are required by US Federal law to identify on the package of each cell phone a measurement called “SAR” or Specific Absorption Rate values. Generally, if you read the label, the higher the SAR value, the more radiation your body is likely to absorb.

On cell phone boxes, you “might” find  the following information:

* A numerical simple measure of radiation absorption.

* A general statement that the cell phone meets a safety standard.

* Garbled, hard to understand  test data and background information.

But there’s a concern here and conflicting information.

There’s no clear explanation on what SAR values mean when compared to the US study.  So, in September 2010, the US government revised the SAR values to indicate the maximum possible exposure for any phone. The SAR values you now see on labels vary in detail since there is not consistent mandatory standard. For the maximum exposure limits for cell phones in terms of the SAR, phones must fall below the legal limit of 1.6 watts per kilogram to be considered “safe”. The higher the SAR value, the more radiation your body will likely absorb.

While the cell phone manufacturers and the US government sort out a consistent SAR measure and guidance, consumers like you and me are left to their whims and delays. The FCC will only tell you to reduce your exposure by holding the cell phone away from the head or body and to use a speaker phone or hands free accessory!

Be as it may, reliable resources on the internet  have already started listing cell phone radiation levels of the 20 lowest-radiation cell phones (United States) by manufacturer and model and SAR level. One such list identifies 20 phones from 6 cell phone manufacturers with SAR values ranging from values from .109 to .6 watts per kilogram compared to the 1.6 watts “maximum” safe SAR value the US government published.

It’s a start, if not a token one.

The Bottom Line!

You Be The Judge!

Cell Phone Radiation Danger

How Growing Cell Phone Radiation Danger Could affect You or Your Children

With the ever growing use of modern technology, and cellular phones in particular, many believe not enough is currently being done to make the general population aware of the likely risks involved.  The cell phone has become the primary phone for many, with cell phone usage by children increasing even more rapidly.

Released for use in the early 1980′s the cell phone was originally designed for military application.  Then a group of private companies got hold of the idea and somehow, on a limited budget, got it approved for public use with essentially no testing by the FDA (food and drug administration).  At that point in time, very little thought (at least publicly), was given to cell phone radiation danger.

Since that time many concerns have been raised about the potential health risks associated cell phone use. Among the primary health concerns is EMR or electromagnetic radiation.   Electromagnetic radiation is emitted from not only, the actual hand sets, but also from the towers or antennas from which the radio frequency signals are sent.  This electromagnetic radiation is thought, or some would say “known” to cause a wide variety of health issues including, brain tumors, headaches, brain dysfunction, and genetic issues just to name a few.

Cell phone radiation danger is gradually starting to be studied more frequently worldwide.  This is confirmed by the World Health organization, which has some documentation on the subject, based upon several peer conducted studies. In their findings enough evidence was reportedly found to list exposure from personal cell phone use as being “possibly carcinogenic to humans.”  Even though the increase in studies related to cell phone radiation danger is on the rise, for years, it went almost completely untested as one of the first real challenges to the safety of cell phone use did not occur until 1993, when a grieving husband filed a lawsuit in which he claimed that his wife’s death from cancer in the brain was in fact a direct result of cell phone use.  Part of the basis for the claim was the X-rays which showed tumors in the area in which she held the handset.

On the other side of the coin there is the cell phone industry itself which has seemingly, for obvious financial reasons, done everything in it’s power to impede or deny such studies.  For example when the World Health organization released their findings The Wireless Association or CTIA made claims to the effect that these studies were old news, and basically non conclusive.

As with most types of medical research, the testing processes for these types of things take a great deal of time. In what was considered the largest International study on the subject, findings as of 2010, showed that 10 years or more of cell phone use had twice the occurrence of a particular tumor known as brain glioma.  The scary part here is that children have some factors including thinner scalps, and skulls, which are susceptible to faster and deeper penetration from these forms of radiation. This study also included some things the average person could to in order to help prevent such an occurrence.
